Chrome Dome Welcomes freaky sounds of the Underground

Hello...
I thought I'd create a Tribe for a fav group of mine called 'Chrome'... then I thought.. Hey, I like 'Dome' too... so why not 'Chrome Dome'... (less time splitting up the two) & both I feel are freaky in their own ways. But don't let that stop you... feel free to discuss other influential Underground artists... let's turn others on...

Other Underground inspirations....

List some of your underground & or indie weaknesses...

Here are a few of some favs from my closet:

~ Bill Horist ('Songs from the NerveWheel')
Here is a link to some of his mp3s:
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/unitcircle13
Horist is mostly a solo experimental looping artist (although he does collaborate with others)... Absolutely Amazing & crazy sounds. He tweeks everything on his guitar (from metal coils, hemostats, cymbal etc). If you ever get a chance to see him on the West coast... DO IT!! Watch out... his sounds live are crazy intense! (mostly up in Seattle, but ventures out amidst the west coast from time to time... also playing in Oakland at 21 grand gallery June 23rd '04 & SF June 24th at the Hemlock Tavern)

~ Tom Nunn (He creates his own instruments of wood, metal, nails, strings etc... bows & hammers it. No effects (mostly) but sounds like everything is effected/ STUNNING Live!) I've played one of his instruments the 'T-Rodimba' in several recordings... Awesome. Here is a link to some of his sounds (scroll down to 'Burning Palms':
http://25thavenue.com/Pages/garuda.html#Tom%20Nunn

~ Ed Hall 'Gloryhole'

~ Bongwater 'Power of Pussy'

~ Slint (it's all good)

~ Red Temple Spirits (anyone have any info on them... so hard to find... & absolutely no mp3s online)

~ Loop 'a Guilded Eternity'

~ Free Kitten ('sentimental education' Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth side project)

(of course I am not listing every fav group I like... just a few that may not be as common to most)

I'll list more later....
