Hello...
I thought I'd create a Tribe for a fav group of mine called 'Chrome'... then I thought.. Hey, I like 'Dome' too... so why not 'Chrome Dome'... (less time splitting up the two) & both I feel are freaky in their own ways. But don't let that stop you... feel free to discuss other influential Underground artists... let's turn others on...

Re: Chrome Dome Welcomes freaky sounds of the Underground
Sun, June 6, 2004 - 5:36 PMWell, after many a search online for mp3s... since both of these projects are a bit older... early 80's & so forth... very hard to track mp3's online for these groups.
Here is about the only sound files for 'Chrome' that I could find online.
For Mac (only short bits of 5 tracks from 'Half Machine Lip Moves'): ubl.artistdirect.com/music/s...,00.html
for Mac (Chrome Flashback: best of Chrome Live):
ubl.artistdirect.com/music/a...,00.html
For Windows (from 'Half Machine Lip Moves & Alien Soundtracks'):
ubl.artistdirect.com/store/a...,00.html
Here is a list of some of their other albums... but wasn't able to find sounds for most of them for Mac/Real Player:
ubl.artistdirect.com/music/a...,00.html
(Couldn't find 'Having Fun with the Tripods' album as mp3's online)...
If anyone knows of any links for Chrome (Damon Edge... with Helios Creed & Friends) or Dome (gilbert & lewis).... please list them.
I haven't heard much in the realm of Chrome in the latter stages... or current sounds of the last 10 years... but their earlier work is what strikes me as influential...
Please note if listening for a first time... open your mind... mp3 files are more raw & some sound aspects are lost... & they really only give you a blippit of each track... not nearly enough to zone...
Some of the best driving music though. Crazy, Maniacal... quirky & driving.
Unfortunately, I was not able to find a single 'Dome' mp3 online anywhere... (I only have Dome 1 & 2 on cassette... so I haven't even heard all of their work... but what I did hear I liked).
So post links to mp3s if you find any for these artists...
More later if I uncover anything else...
